A Simple Voodoo Hex Using Common Household Items
Ingredients: -A slip of paper on which you write the victim’s name (You can turn it into a sigil, if you prefer) -Powdered cayenne pepper -A small freezer bag or some other disposable container
The Method: The ingredients and method for this curse have been borrowed from a Voodoo ritual, and adapted slightly in order to be more easily performed. Begin by gathering your ingredients at your altar, or wherever you will be casting this spell. I have found that the night is the best time to preform “murkier magic” such as this; but timing is a personal preference. Light as many candles as you choose—black, red, white, or appropriate saint/deity candles are best. Write your target’s name on the slip of paper. If you are unsure of their name, you can identify them in the form of a sigil that has been connected to them through strong visualization and intent. (Simply choose an appropriate symbol, and visualize your target as you inscribe it on the paper.) Knock three times on either the floor or your altar, and say, “Old Man Legba, open the gate.” Knock three times again, and say, “Papa Legba, open the gate.” Call upon the “Powerful Spirits of Africa” to bear witness as you “bind, confound, and direct harm to [insert your target’s name].” Read aloud Psalm 140; as you speak lines 9, 10, and 11 draw a line through the person’s name.
"Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord. O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. (9)As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. (10) Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. (11)Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.”
Put the slip of paper in the freezer bag or small container and fill with water from the tap. Shake a generous amount of the cayenne pepper into the bag. (The more, the better!) Seal the freezer bag/container, and then shake it rigorously—this is the homemade version of traditional Voodoo “war water”. As you shake the bag, repeatedly say, "I bind, confound, and direct harm to you!” Put the bag in the freezer, and leave it there until frozen. Thank and dismiss the spirits, and ask Papa Legba to please close the gate.
Effective Spell Disposal: This is a very simple, but very potent hex. When it has frozen completely, you should promptly dispose of it in the appropriate manner. Wrap it in newspaper, a cloth, etc, and discard it in a public trash can away from your home. (Once frozen, the less time it is in your possession, the better.)

"I don’t have prejudice against myself. My father was white and my mother was black. Them call me half-caste or whatever. Me don’t dip on nobody’s side. Me don’t dip on the black man’s side nor the white man’s side. Me dip on God’s side, the one who create me and cause me to come from black and white."
